lav 's review for:
The Remarkable Retirement of Edna Fisher
by E.M. Anderson
adventurous
lighthearted
Diverse cast of characters:
Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus:
Yes
found this a bit saccharine but i think that's more of a personal taste thing than an indictment of the book
that being said, the characters fell flat for me. they were all stick figures with one or two traits and not much beyond that. i found the story pretty bloodless because of this
enjoyed reading an elderly protagonist! would like more of that (even if edna slotted a bit too neatly into the "feisty old lady" trope)
