🌶️ 4.5/5
📝 This was a great conclusion to the trilogy! I loved to see the growth in both MCs. There was angst, since MMC left FMC at the altar (in book 1). MCs have to rebuild trust and get to know one another genuinely, rather than the surface level acquaintance they had previously shared during their engagement. This is a forced proximity story, the whole thing (except the epilogue) takes place over a week or two, at a house party on a remote Scottish island.
🌶️ Plenty of spice! Several explicit scenes, and even some light kink in one encounter. Slow burn though, it takes about 200 pages to get to the first kiss.
🏳️🌈✊ There were a few POC as side characters but the MCs are white. There were at least two queer side characters as well.
