Dear John
by Nicholas Sparks
I thought this one was pretty good. This was honestly such an easy read with a good story behind it. After watching The Notebook, I was really worried that this would be another Sparks story with a poor good guy getting dumped for the old fling, but it wasn't, so that was good. And I thought the subplot with John's father was a really nice addition to the story and made it a lot more meaningful than just another romance story.
I will say that I cringed heavily anytime anything military-related was mentioned. But that's probably a me issue.
