I found this book through a master spreadsheet of sapphic novels by the naughty librarian (on instagram). I really loved the two main characters, they had so much personality and I loved how they brought out the best in each other! And helped each other realize their goals!

I loved the AuDHD rep, and what I loved so much about it was that, for the most part, everyone was very understanding of Pepper's social/sensory needs. There was almost no stink about it, at least not from her friends, and it was really refreshing to see a relative lack of ableism towards an autistic character.

I also loved to see, from Opal's side, the severe RSD she gets because bitch same. It's such a huge part of having ADHD (not necessarily for everyone, but for me for sure) and I don't see it often represented in romantic type settings.

One thing that I noticed was there were a lot of, like, internet humor and with that quite a few queer stereotypes that the author most definitely learned from TikTok. On one hand, I get it, but on the other hand I'm kinda super tired of queerness being reduced to cuffed jeans and throwing up peace signs...

That being said, I do love lesbians and I love stupid lesbians even more so like #slay #ilovepepper #suchagoodseasoning
