The Do-Over
by T.L. Swan
I thoroughly enjoyed every book in this series! I took a break before reading this one because I was waiting for it to release. A lot of the time when I do this I end up forgetting to ever come back and finish the series, I'm so glad I didn't do that with this book!
Christopher Miles gets made fun of by his brothers that he is spoiled and has never worked for anything. Then he goes out on a date, only to be told he has no substance and "your life has been so perfect you've never had to dig deep to find out who uou are". With that he decides he wants to show his brothers that he can work for something by going backpacking for 1 year with only $2000 to his name.
His first stop is Spain where he meets Hayden. To start she thinks he is a dick, attractive but still a dick. Despite this it only takes a week or so of sharing a hostel room to start becoming friends.
I loved the character development in this story, watching Christopher go from turning his nose up at everything to trying new foods, new jobs and slumming it. Watching him learn to care more for others and dig deep to find himself.
I also loved the side characters of this story - especially Eddie, the 14 year old orphan boy who works ar the hotel boy who knows how to work for everything and won't take anything he sees as a handout.
This book also had some cameo appearances from some of the Mr series characters.
Now I just need to read the Mr series and find out their stories. Tee is seriously an amazing author and I can't wait to read more of her series!
I absolutely loved this strangers to friends to lovers, dual POV, forced proximity, secret identity romance.
