The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins
3.0
3.8 sounds perfect. The story’s pace felt a little unbalanced and the ending presented a curious cast of characters that I would’ve liked to spend more time with. Overall I enjoyed revisiting Panem and its cutthroat politics, particularly enjoying this book’s more philosophical and mature themes of oppression, human nature and history. I’d love to see Collins continue to explore other family sagas in the Capitol or districts.
