This book is fascinating. It was the first time that I had ever read any Chicana literature (which is literature that uses both English and Spanish interchangeably and with no translations), and I really enjoyed it. The first part can be a bit difficult to follow at times, but the poems in the second part are fantastic. Because of this book, I plan to take time to read Chicana literature, specifically poems, in the future.
