Holy mother of gods, this book. I don't even know where to begin.
First of all - fuck yeah dual timeline. I loved constantly learning more about the character right until the end. Secondly, the writing was stunning, and I was pulled in the entire time.
There is a lot of diversity in characters here, in personalities, heritage, age, ability, literally everything. It takes place in so many counties, it has so many languages. The languages are translated in a way that isn't just a rinse and repeat sentence, it adds to the story when it's translated, which I didn't even think was a thing.
Also DAMN. This story is fucked up. I was ill prepared for how fucked this would be. Definitely TW. Big TWs all over the place, but still so good. This is definitely a big hit for me.
