I really did enjoy this but before you go but Sarah, you gave it 3.75 lemme explain.

This was slow until the very end. The author introduced sooo many characters that had second and third names that it was hard to keep track of who was who and who was doing what. Because of that it was hard to figure out what was actually going on and follow the actions of the characters.

I did find that the magic was a great addition not a true hindrance to the novel in of it self. It felt very Downton abbey meets trashy Geordie Shore or Love Island. I did admire that the sexuality of our main characters was addressed in a time period relevant way.

Overall it was an interesting book and I really did enjoy it but I don't feel like I have to know what happens next by reading the second book. Could I have read another book with the same characters, sure but I don't feel obligated to read it at all.
