The Return of the King by J.R.R. Tolkien

5.0

Review for the whole series: I’m not great with detailed fantasy books, so I’m very thankful that I watched the movies to have some visual imagery to fall back on while reading these books. However, despite this hurdles that exist for me personally, I loved the story. It’s a very fantastic, encouraging, heartwarming, tale that leaves me wanting to be a better person and hope for a better world. Cheesy, but this is a classic fairytale so what can I say? Sam is my all time favorite character.

I’m excusing Tolkien for the lack of female characters because of the time period it was written in, but of the female characters there are, Eowyn is pretty badass.
