this was good, undoubtedly, but it wasn’t percy jackson, not even close. i believe that the plot dragged a bit and i didn’t love how we had 500 pages of buildup only for the big crescendo to be so anticlimactic and this huge problem to be resolved on one page. otherwise, i like the characters fine enough. jason and peper that is. leo is now one of my favourite characters of the riordanverse. that being said, i really enjoyed the book. the entire duration of their quest was pretty entertaining and kept you engaged. im excited for the next books.
