Aliens/Vampirella by Corinna Bechko

5.0

I don’t know what I expected when I saw the reviews. Probably a lot of fighting between my favourite Alien and Vampirella. Too much fighting. But guess what, I was wrong.

This collection actually has a plot. Vampirella is asked to join a crew on Mars to determine whether a contaminated part of the base is now safe. The crew is sceptical, but when they find something that obviously looks like Alien activity, things get heated.

What can you expect from a crossover like this one? This collection could only be silly. I mean Aliens... and Vampirella? But if you’re a massive Alien fan like me, have played the games and watched the movies, you’ll most likely get a 2-3 hours of entertainment out of this collection.

So why did I give it 5 stars? I had low expectations and I got surprised. Albeit silly, the plot is there. I can understand why people would find this collection bad, but I think they missed the point. Aliens/Vampirella was never meant to take itself seriously. It’s an adventure for fans.

I read this book on my Kindle in black/grey.
