Care and Feeding of Your Little Banned Bookshop: a novella by Jennifer Shelby

5.0

I picked this book up on a whim because the title and cute cover grabbed me. With the recent rise of book bans, the idea of the story felt relevant, and let’s face it, what reader hasn’t dreamed of a magical bookshop where all the books are safe? I think that is just par for the course for anyone who loves books.

Once inside this story, I found it adorable, sweet, triggering, and beautiful all at once. Or, in other words, everything one can expect from a book on the subject matter. I finished this novelette in almost one go, and absolutely loved all the characters being “eaten” by the magical bookshop as it saved them at the end.

If I could find a Little Banned Bookshop, I think I would stay there. So glad I followed my whim and read this book.
