Oliver Bateman is in fact a jerk. However, he is a smoke show of a jerk and I am here for him!!!

From a young age, Oliver had a thing for Avery. Their parents were all family friends but Avery would only come back once a year to see everyone with her parents. They tried to keep friendships up with each other. Everyone knew about this little crush Oliver had on Avery, but there was an slight age gap and well it would have not been appropriate when younger.

Time goes on, Avery grows up, Oliver grows up and she returns and moves back with her daughter. At first, he doesn't remember her but when he does, the switch goes off!! When the switch goes off in Oliver and he knew what he wanted and what that meant, there was no stopping him. He would walk on fire for both Avery and her daughter, Nova. Avery is independent and strong willed. After her relationship with Nova's father, she realizes her worth.

I love how these two secretly would check each other out on IG.

These two had friendship, banter and spice! I enjoyed that Hannah provided us dialogue and interaction with the other characters from past books. Oliver and Avery were always endgame and I am happy they got their HEA.
