I'm sad this book took as long as it did for me to read. Life, as it often does, got in the way between me and this incredible story. As Portia made the decisions in her life that were so heavy and impactful, it's hard not to consider what I would have done in those situations. Not surprisingly, the lead character was very easy to relate to and even her irrational behavior was something I could actually rationalize (and root for, in some cases). I really, really loved this book.
