Very quick to read. But it is a very hard book to read, it is very explicit. And the author describes quite realistically the way humans are treated like livestock in real life. As a person in the veterinary world, I know first-hand about the meat industry. Seeing the possibility of human beings becoming livestock has been very disturbing, especially because I think that if they were given this opportunity for a way of life, they would be just like the book.
