The Road Trip by Beth O'Leary
Did not finish book. Stopped at 23%.
Wow, the end of June is really just turning into DNF season. This is my third within less than a week! Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to trim down my TBR, but seriously.
I'm about a quarter in and just like with The Flatshare, I don't care about the characters. There's no fun banter and I'm not intrigued enough to keep going. I read some spoilers and frankly, I'm disgusted by some of the plot choices. I feel good about this decision, even if I am disappointed to be DNF'ing my second Beth O'Leary. Her premises sound like so much fun, but she just can't hold a candle to my queen Emily Henry. Especially when she's out here using sexual assault as a plot device and stalking as a punchline.
