ok listen, i love-love this finale, but i can't help to think that this book contains that one MG-typical ending in which the main characters are safe and alive in the end because of their strong friendship (and maybe, romantic relationship) determination. i'm not complaining about this but, you know, seemed quite unrealistic to have all seven of them alive in the end and it just felt strange? whatever that ending was, i admit i enjoyed every bit of obsidio, just like its two predecessors, and i never got bored although it had a lot more new characters introduced. asha and rhys are as amazing as the other main couples, and each pair has their own different stories that made their battles unique from each other. this starting to sound like i'm reviewing the entire illuminae files series but seriously, i realized that i haven't touched this kind of genre for a long time so this is clearly a foreign territory for me and at first i thought it would be dull, especially with the fact that the story was delivered not in narrations but in various types of files. i'm automatically adding this to my all-time favs <3
