Passenger by Alexandra Bracken

4.0

I couldn't put this down.

Passenger is such an intriguing story, right from the first page.

Nicholas and Etta are such well-rounded, well written, believable, and simply awesome characters. I loved the dynamic between the two of them, and they are such interesting characters. I'm just- Ahhhhhh. Sophia is such a cool character too, and I can't wait to see more of her.
*crosses fingers for a redemption arc*

I'm not usually so invested in the plot of a story, because it's just a situation that propels the characters in their journey, just something to get the story going, if that makes sense. I'm more interested in the character's reaction to the series of events. Passenger is different. The plot one of the most interesting things about this story, propelling our characters in and out of time in order to find an object that could cause serious damage in the wrong hands. (Theres something so adventurous about hide and seek stories, dont you think?)

I loved the writing, as well. I loved how Bracken wrote the internal thoughts of the characters, and it was just so nicely written.

omg tho, when etta was on the pirate ship, all i could think about was the pirates of the caribbean self insert fanfics i used to read when i was 12. So nostalgic
