I thought this would be a wholesome, quirky tale with a tad of morbidity to boost the serotonin… CLEARLY I didn’t realise it was a Brothers Grimm retelling… I loved it all the same! The illustrations are captivating, the story had me chuckling at parts but got me in the feels with the ending.
