Death in Venice and Other Tales by Thomas Mann

3.0

Ahaha, I couldn't decide between saying I loved this book to saying I hated it so I split the difference. I still laugh about this book with people from my class who had to read it. It was creepy and depressing but you never related to the downtrodden protagonist so you just got to judge him with abandon, which is always fun. It gave me the word "rictus" for which I will always be grateful.
