4.0

I originally supported this book on Pozible because it contained my friend and crit buddy Aidan's first published story. It also contain a number of stories from authors I am familiar with.

Novascapes is a solid, well composed collection, a great first effort and well worth reading.

I had read a few of the reprints before but they are very strong stories that I enjoyed reading again. I thought the original fiction was very good too. There were only a few stories that didn't quite do it for me, or that I thought needed a bit more tweaking (sometimes working as a writer and editor makes it hard not to view stories in light of how I would have approached them) but a lot of it will come down to personal taste.

As an unthemed anthology, the book is quite diverse in voice and tone so there should be something in here to suit any spec fic lover.

Overall, I thought it was a great showcase of the talent to be found in the Hunter Region!
