I wanted to read this because I finally finished the Black Sails TV show recently, and was interested to know the origins of the characters and what goes on to happen to them. The story is good fun and entertaining, but because I love the characterisation of Silver in Black Sails, the change in his character in this put me off a little. I love Flint being his parrot though. Jim is a good main character and works for the story. It’s a fun adventure.
