immediately had to go back and reread some parts

These books are incredibly difficult to review without giving anything away and spoiling it for others. I can say that I completely understand why the author broke this out to it’s own book and I see how it would have been difficult to cut this down to only be an intro to Alecto. I loved the scenes with John (again, hard to review without spoiling) and what we learned during those bits. I’m very conflicted over john’s character and I can’t what to see the interactions between him and alecto and as always, I can’t wait for more Harrow and Gideon.

I went through these books in a little over three days, so it goes without saying that I enjoyed them and they’re so worth it.
