Did not realize this was a sequel to "The Long Halloween" when I picked it up.  Despite it being a sequel it did not deter me from absolutely loving the book.  Wonderfully well written and loved seeing the classic Batman Villains come together while making Batman a true detective and not just his usual vigilante self. Great story with depth.  Loved seeing the beginning of Batman's relationship with Robin and what led Bruce to opening up to his young ward.
