A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas

2.0

This one made me shed tears.

The Inner Circle are struggling to find alliances for their upcoming battles against Hybern. While Feyre, trapped in the Spring Court once again, has been infiltrating Hybern’s forces to gather any helpful information. With her so far away from the Night Court, the lack of alliance and the stir of the Cauldron on Hybern’s side, the impending war seems almost impossible to win.

I would like to announce that I was correct in assuming that there would be much more character development in the later books, when writing my review for the first instalment. Feyre definitely had a major character development and it was very evident that she is going on a journey of recovery from her trauma. We also see snippets of this for Nesta and Elain, however, I think these will be much more present later in the series.

The last third was epic; words cannot describe my feelings but just know that it had me in tears.

I really love how Sarah J. Maas shows the story more than she tells. It makes it enjoyable to read and I look forward to reading much more by her. She also has the talent of being able to create amazing plots that all intertwine with each other.
