I would say 3.5 stars rounded down to 3.
The third book in the series was not as good as the second. Kingdom of the Cursed made me want to grab the next book right away after I sped through it. This one, not so much. Yes, we discovered all the obstacles in front of Emilia and Wrath. We found out who the true villains were. However, the overpowered Emilia and Wrath plowed through them as if they were nothing. It made everything too easy. As a result, we were at the 75% mark with the main storyline resolved. So what do we do for the rest of the book? Not to worry because Emilia would break immersion by listing all the side storylines that still needed resolution. This could be handled more seamlessly.
Also, the Vesta storyline was unnecessary. Was it added in just to bolster the page count?
The 0.5 boost was for the smut (which was good).
