Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life by Bryan Lee O’Malley

I recommend following the link to my blog below for full review....

I had no idea what to expect or any knowledge before hand other than the bread scene to obsess over. So I didn't really know the feel the author was going for. I mean I knew that it wasn't supposed to be a serious read, but I didn't know the amount of ridiculous he was going for! And oh-my-lanta does he go for the ridiculous of ridiculousness that is out there! The whole concept is just unbelievably awkward it's amazing! And the more you read it just gets better and better, and more ridiculous on top of that.

I honestly wasn't too sure about the first volume though. It was a little meh in my opinion. But if you can get past this first volume and continue on, just know that it's worth the meh-ness of the first volume to get to the others. I highly recommend that everyone gives this a read. If you're not sure like I was about the first volume give the second volume a chance, and go from there. Because I feel if you don't like either the first or 2nd volume, I don't think you'll find yourself enjoying the remainder of the series.

It's also a very quick read. I'm a pretty fast reader, but I'm sure even those who read slower than I do, could finish this book on the same day. It is also manga/comic form so that's also understandable about the quickness of the read. You can also see in the image above that the art itself is very simplistic. I mean super simplistic but I honestly love it for that reason alone. It's got it's own flare, and it goes with the mood of the book.
