The Good House by Ann Leary

4.0

This was a slow burn, and as I noticed with at least one other reviewer, I was turned off by the audiobook author until I got about 20-30 minutes in, and then I realized what genius she exhibited while delivering Hildy to us all! I enjoyed the storyline and descriptions but it wasn't until the last quarter that I was really gripped and moved this story from a 3 to a 4 star read. Rarely do we as readers get to focus on a middle-aged woman who has a transformation of sorts. I also really appreciated Hildy as an unreliable narrator.
