I didn't like this one as much as the first book, but it was still good. A lot of the evidence Pip found fell into her lap too conveniently just like in the first book, but I also didn't enjoy the overall evidence gathering process as much as the first book. It took me a while to get invested. I finally got invested around the halfway point, and I finished the second half of the book a lot faster.

My favorite part of the book was Pip's character development.
I liked that she realized she didn't have to be what other people wanted her to be (i.e. a good girl).
I also like that I am still unable to predict these books.

I will be reading the final book this year hopefully, but I want someone to let me know if the novella is worth it.
