This book definitely kept me engaged with the story, on edge and wanting to find out more. Dark & endlessly twisty.
Some of the information about prisons and how things work felt a little unnecessarily…lax? I think a little bit of research there could have gone a long way. That said, I noticed but it didn’t ruin the book for me, and in the end didn’t really affect the story in a major way.

Graphic: Mental illness, Violence, and Murder
Moderate: Bullying and Death of parent
Minor: Car accident
