the fomo was real and fourth wing was average.
the formulaic conflict is to be expected and i can’t blame the author for taking the easy way. i truly was only invested in the dragons + the empyrean, and i will stay for that!
on the other hand, violet and xaden are a disgrace to enemies to lovers 💀 they’re a giant mess. they’re supposed to be enemies to lovers or whatever but that was nonexistent from the start. the insta-love was so vehement, i got whiplash. plus their dialogue was inane, i could barely withstand their conversations. i personally think they should have gotten together in the next book.
