This was absolutely one of the best written fantasies I’ve read so far.
I loved the depth of the characters & how easy it was to become so emotionally invested without realising, it really creeps up on you. The slow burn between Amos & Cyra was beautifully written without it being the frustrating slow burn that you usually get. This absolutely wasn’t enemies to lovers - more opposing sides.
It wasn’t a long book but it gave so much emotion and the plot evolution was seamless. I felt like the plot just kept spiralling further the more we learnt - it was a great balance of mystery but also learning enough to be enjoyable.
The start was pretty heavy & a fair amount of information to take on but it was written well so you weren’t confused just learning the world.
