Girl in Ice by Erica Ferencik

3.0

Ok, it was just an ok book. It was slow starting. Put it down for a couple weeks before picking up again. Forced my way through a few chapters and then it picked up. It was a bit heavy handed on the whole global warming, humans are terrible creatures out to destroy the earth diatribe. The idea of the story was pretty interesting, and I was really enjoying the imagery my mind created when the author described the Arctic landscape. She did that well. I also enjoyed the bond between the main character and the little girl connected by a long-ago Arctic tribe, and the traditions and customs of her long lost family.
