I’d regularly come across this book both in my feed on Instagram and in my Kindle recommendations. Although I had intended to read it someday, being a mood reader, I always found myself reading something else. Much to my dismay, I regret not reading it sooner, because I loved it so much that I stayed up until 5 a.m. just to finish it 😴
I had a good time reading this book. I found the story both cute and funny. Kudos for the name of the poultry. Although I’m not a Star Wars fan, I’m still a fan of puns that makes you roll your eyes at when you hear/read them, but still manage to bring a smile to your face, nonetheless.
Like the rest of the Kingman family, I was rooting for Trixie and Chris. It was about time they both acknowledge their feelings for each other. Moreover, as someone who isn’t particularly family-oriented, I still really enjoyed the Kingman family dynamic, and look forward to reading the other books in this series.
However, I have one criticism regarding this book: the way Trixie loses her virginity. While I agree that virginity is a concept that is perhaps given too much importance, the idea of losing it in a high school locker room when no longer in said high school felt a bit ridiculous – don’t tell me that you can’t wait for an hour or so to be in a more comfortable environment.
