Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
3.0
The first couple pages of this book were kind of… weird, but luckily it got much better!
Even though Karou seems a little too perfect I actually liked her. She was a good main character and interesting.
The plot got exciting soon and I couldn’t stop reading. The chapters weren’t that long which I really liked.
Then there’s Akiva and at first, I thought he was alright, but now I don’t like him anymore. He was super against chimaera as if he were so much better than them.
Also, Karou’s and Akiva’s relationship was soooo fast. It is explained in Madrigal’s POV, but it still was way too quick in my opinion. I didn’t really like Madrigal’s POV that much. It was so boring, so the last pages in the book were kind of hard to read. And then my favourite characters got killed. I chose Brimstone and Issa, because I didn’t like Akiva and Karou was okay, but not special to be honest. The other characters were fine, but I didn’t really like any of the them.
