Eileen Gray: A House Under the Sun by Charlotte Malterre-Barthes

4.0

The book doesn't quite function as a biography because it gives fragmented views into parts of Eileen Gray's life, without really covering her roles and personality in more detail. The illustrations, however, are extremely captivating and the colours used help segregate the sub contents of the book. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to know more about the architectural aspects of E.1027 because the page composition of that particular section includes a lot of architectural references. However, I wouldn't recommend this book to individuals wanting to know more about Eileen Gray's life, since this text gives only a brief overview.
