after reading "the sense of an ending" i had expectations of course but at a very realistic level
and it is literally the first time that i'm disturbed by a male perspective in a book - apparently there is a first time for everything!
not sure if it was intended or not but in any case i can say that the absurd obsession of a husband - who is also a mid-aged divorcee - is very well reflected
