Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov

An incredible read with perfect writing.
I'm surprised at how many people read this as a love store, to me it read more as the telling of a very ill man's demise.
Dolores is in many ways a very open character in that we all could imagine a girl we grew up with fitting into her description, both in physicality and personality.
Humbert is someone we all hoped to not know, but perhaps were suspicious we did.
An excellent story that makes an important social comment about victims and how we view them based on how their attacker describes them.
