Dead Drop by Tate James
5.0
I can never start a Tate James series if the full series isn’t already out. These cliff-hangers are just way too good and suspenseful.
Loved that there were more tie-ins from previous series in this book! Like before, not strong enough that you HAVE to read Madison Kate and Hades first, but it is strongly recommended. It’s more fun to understand the tie-ins.
Hmmm where to start? Danny, Kai, Leon….all of the above! First off, love Danny for not letting the boys bully her and choosing herself. Get over it boys, she’s the alpha, not you. She only lets you pretend to be when it works for her.
Poor Kai keeps getting blindsided with more and more information. He does a remarkable job at moving through it all but I wish he would bring his team into everything. I hate that he essentially dropped them. Not okay. Merge the lives together.
I have such mixed feelings with Leon. I need his ego taken down a few pegs but I also love the intensity of his devotion to Danny. But he needs to learn he isn’t an all-knowing invincible god. Take it down a notch, Bunny. Good Bunny.
Of the three main female characters of these series so far (Hades, MK, and Danny), I think Danny is my favorite. Maybe MK still. But it’s damn close between them! I’m hoping and hoping that Jude made it out. I don’t want Danny to lose more people. But that ending though, book 3 is going to be fun!
