How to Survive a Horror Movie by Seth Grahame-Smith
3.0
It's a fun coffee table book for fans of the genre. It pokes fun at the tropes that we all know and love in a humorous way that isn't demeaning to the horror genre and its fans. As a horror writer myself, I may actually refer to this book when working to avoid cliches or subvert expectations.
I think the book looks great, but I have one issue with it. My copy has a book jacket. For a small soft-cover paperback which is very much a coffee table book, this just kind of gets in the way. If it were a beautiful hardcover that would grace a shelf rather than a table, I might like the jacket, but alas.
