The Art of Happiness by Dalai Lama XIV
4.0

I listened to the audiobook version, but I definitely want it on my bookshelf. I really want to read it again and fully absorb every information. I always felt a kind of calmness while listening to it and I really loved the deep insights. This book is valuable and thought-provoking.
I loved the messages of Dalai Lama and I'm really looking forward to read his biography now.

Highlights:

-The purpose of our life needs to be positive.
-For our life to be of value, I think we must develop basic good human qualities—warmth, kindness, compassion.
-you may not always be able to avoid difficult situations, you can modify the extent to which you can suffer by how you choose to respond to the situation
-Mind, like body needs to be trained to be healthy.
-happiness is determined more by one's state of mind than by external events.
