Finally got Shirayuki back and our adventure continues!
*spoilers*
Zen’s eyes were actually glowing in one scene during the fight at the beginning. I don't know how Sorata Akiduki did that but I was so surprised by how impactful the art was. Zen was out for BLOOD!
When Kazuki asked Shirayuki to stay with them in the one frame Zen looked terrified of the possibility that they would be apart. I love that Shirayuki stuck with her path to be by Zen’s side!
Obi almost says Shirayuki's name but stops himself just shows me that he refuses to allow himself to get close to her and that he shoves his feelings down 😭
Obi calling Shirayuki’s dad pops and Zen calling him dad is actually so funny.
Again I love how much more personality the characters show in the manga. When Shirayuki kisses Zen’s hand, Zen becomes upset because he gave her the hand that is covered and regrets not giving her his bare hand. (I will continue to say this, Zen in the manga is just so much fun and chaotic).
Sorata Akiduki bullying Zen in the note section of this volume was so funny. I enjoy the author's notes in this series!
Obi making fun of Zen for being shirtless in broad daylight will always be funny because he knows Zen gets flustered after being poked at especially when it comes to Shirayuki.
I’m so glad the volume ends with a wonderful scene with Shirayuki and Zen. I’m so happy that their relationship continues to grow. Both of them are taking steps closer to each other. Mitsuhide even addressing this (while he’s hallucinating, but talking about it nonetheless) and supporting them makes me so happy.
I am waiting for some more Ryu and Kiki content!
Anime and Manga:
Finally got to where they did have an event at the castle. I had said in a previous review that I thought they had added the play only in the anime but no it was two separate events! I do like it as it gives more opportunities for the group to hang out together as a group. I also thought it was weird in the anime that there was a fighting event (where Obi won the hair accessory he gave Shirayuki) within Zen’s castle. It just never made sense to me.
Excited for the continuation of the story and learning more than I was shown in the anime!
