I gave it 5 stars the first time I read this book, the rating hasn't changed after a second reading a few years later.
I loved the heroin, she's smart and she knows it, she's a bit too much analytical and loves to keep everything under control but that's what I love about her (I can relate !). She has a good heart, longs for a normal life but is not too sure how to manage in normal situations and let's face it, she's a total badass.
And Brooks, haaaaa, Brooks, he's one of my favorite heroes : he manages to get everything he wants with a strong sense of humor and a smiling tenacity. Abby didn't stand a chance once he set his sights on her.
I chose to re-read this book recently because I seldom remember novels after having read them, but this one stuck and was such a good memory that when I needed a feel-good romantic suspense that I kept reading with a smile (well, except at the beginning), this one was obviously what I needed.
