Fast-paced, cat-and-mouse sci-fi, wherein robot Paladin and human agent Elias chase after Jack, a Robin Hood-like “pirate”, who engineers copies of expensive drugs and gives them freely to folks who can’t afford them. Interesting commentary on gender and sexuality experienced through the lens of an AI-powered robot, and even more on pharmaceutical industries and the future of patents/intellectual property. I recommend this to fans of Becky Chambers’ work!
