This book served all the Hunger Games-meets-Harry Potter vibes. All the dystopian fantasy goodness with a bit of romance. The characters are absolute perfection! Violet’s journey made me feel like I was watching my favorite underdog win it all, and I’m SO team Xaden/Violet!!!
I read this book so fast, then immediately dove into the second because I must know what happens next. I even bought the audiobook because stopping to complete my daily tasks was clearly not an option.
And don’t even get me started on the bonus points for Rebecca Yarros being a certified Swiftie! You know I was streaming Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince like it was the book’s official soundtrack. I had full-body chills and major "first read as a kid" energy the whole time.
