What I Loved:
- Family bonds- I loved how Savage was with his sister Sionna as well as Dayvon and Weslynn. The relationships they had with one another was normal family dynamics however they always looked out for each other.
- Parenting: Weslynn and Sionna were great mothers to their kids. They don’t entertain foolishness around the babies and I respected. that. They were not ratchet either. Thank you for this narrative because these women had class.
- Chivalrous moments: Savage being such a gentleman with manners was awesome. It was kind of funny with the name he went by and what he was capable of was opposite of how he carried himself. I’m fact he didn’t really be outside to be honest. He was good in the house chilling.
What I didn’t like:
- Honestly nothing. I truly enjoyed this story for all that it was.
This was my first K. Nicole story that I’ve read and I truly enjoyed it. For this to be under 200 pages, the story was complete. She allowed time progression and the slow burn was welcomed. I loved their conversations where they got to know one another and this story was done right. I recommend this short and fulfilling read of how a single mom was able to find love once she stopped being guarded.
