The Twelve Lives of Samuel Hawley by Hannah Tinti

4.0

It's quite an accomplishment for an author to make unlikeable characters endearing. Hawley is not a good person, nor is Loo (or any other character except for maybe Marshall), yet I was engrossed in their story and honestly concerned for their well being. I wish the book was about 10 more pages filled with a flash-forward to tell us what happened next.
