The Far West by Patricia C. Wrede

3.0

I always come away from these books confused as to whether I liked them or not. The story is compelling and you are drawn in. The characters, especially Eff, are likable. The more fantasy elements of it, I could do with out though. I do wish she would provide a map. The story is loosely based on American geography and history, yet there are some weird twists to it as well which makes a little confusing. Again, it's Harry Potter meets Little House on the Prairie.
