In Short: Cute, adorable, fun, and charming read.
General Thoughts: This was the first book I've read by this author, and I can already say it definitely won't be the last. I adored it. It was so cute and spicy. A lot of spice, but it didn't overwhelm the plot. I listened and read parts of this since I had an alc and arc. It was phenomenal on audio. They did an excellent job with this duet. It really helped bring the story to life.
Friends to lovers, when done well, can be one of my absolute favorites. And this one was done really well. The characters were realistic, the writing was fun, and I flew through it. I now want to go back and read more by this author. I appreciated the mental health rep and how the author addressed past grief and trauma. Were some things in the plot convenient? Maybe. I didn't mind it at all though. Lauren has a new fan.
Spice Meter: ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 Spicy. Often so and in fun ways.
Reading Order: This was the first I read in the series. Other characters make cameos and appearances, but I think you could start wherever.
